Designed in 1965 by Italian designer Gae Aulenti, the Pipistrello Lamp is an icon of design and through its wonderful form epitomises modernity and elegance.

Italian for 'bat', the shade of the Pippistrello is inspired by the shape of the wings of a bat. Once lit, the translucent, opalescent shade delivers a beautiful diffused light - casting a soft light upward and a brighter light for work or reading below.

With a fluted telescopic base which grows over 20cm, it allows the piece to transform between a table and floor lamp.
